Why run a course in the city when you can run fast Rocky Mountain courses in beautiful Summit County? The Half Marathon is 75% downhill and the Ten Mile Creek 10K is 100% downhill. Both start at Copper Mountain and finish in downtown Frisco!!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

June 12

6:45 am Day of event registration begins at Frisco Recreation Building, 3rd and Main.

7:00-8:05 am Bus Transportation to the Start at Ten Mile Creek Bike Path, Hwy 91 and I-70 (across from Copper Mountain Resort) NO TRANSPORTATION AT CONCLUSION OF RACE- For all you “coffee drinkers”, a STARBUCKS is located at the start!!! Buses leave from 3rd & Main.

8:30 am Start of Ten Mile Creek 10K & Run the Rockies Half Marathon. PLEASE NOTE, the course closes at 16:45 am and timing will cease. Aid stations: halfway point of 10K and 3 additional locations on the half marathon (including turnaround). Same Aid stations will supply runners on the half going out and back. These are based on “allowed” access to the bike path-should you require more water please carry a hydration system. PLEASE NO DOGS OR STROLLERS, AS THE BIKE PATH WILL NOT ACCOMMODATE THESE. ALSO, IF YOU CHOOSE TO WEAR iPODS, ETC, THEY MUST BE REMOVED AS YOU APPROACH THE FINISH LINE IN ORDER TO HEAR INSTRUCTIONS FROM RACE OFFICIALS. THIS IS FOR YOUR SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS.  BIBS MUST BE CLEARLY VISIBLE AND PLACED ON THE FRONT OF YOUR BODY-THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION, AS ADHERENCE TO THE ABOVE WILL MAKE THIS A FUN AND SAFE EVENT FOR EVERYONE.

Top 3 male/female in the 10K & Half Marathon as follows: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

An awards table will be available for age group winners to receive their awards as the results are posted. AWARDS WILL NOT be mailed after the event. A full set of results will be available at www.emgcolorado.com

REGISTRATION

10K Run/Walk $25
Half-Marathon $35

Registration fee includes entry into the event, great refreshments & give-aways, a specially designed T-shirt, and bus transportation to the start. A late fee of $5/person will be added the day of the event, June 12. T-shirt size and availability not guaranteed for day of event registration. T-shirts not picked-up, WILL NOT be mailed after the event.

SOS Outreach works with at-risk and underprivileged youth from resort communities and urban areas. We serve youth 8 to 18 years of age who are identified by their schools or youth agencies as appropriate candidates for the program. SOS incorporates skiing and snowboarding with positive adult interaction and a focus on five core values: Courage, Discipline, Integrity, Wisdom and Compassion. For those preferring mail-in registration, forms and entry fees will be accepted through Monday, June 7. ALL MAIL-IN registration will be available for pickup at the Frisco Recreation Building, Saturday, June 12, 6:45 am-8 am. NO CONFIRMATIONS WILL BE SENT. YOUR CANCELED CHECK OR ACTIVE.COM EMAIL IS YOUR CONFIRMATION.

Walk In Registration

For those preferring Walk in registration, please complete the entry form and bring registration fees to Pioneer Sports-Frisco from Tuesday, 12 noon, June 1 through Friday, June 16, 1 pm.

Packet Pickup & Late Registration

Packet pickup for ALL online and ALL mail-in registration as well as Late registration will be available Saturday, June 12, 6:45-8 am at the Frisco Recreation Building, 3rd & Main. A late fee of $5/person will be added at this time for day of event of event registration.

BUS TRANSPORTATION

Buses will leave promptly from the Frisco Recreation Building (3rd & Main) beginning at 7 am to take you to the start. The last bus leaves at 8:05 am. There is NO transportation from the finish back to the start at the conclusion of the race. For coffee lovers, there is a STARBUCKS at the start!
